Tonia Blackwood

Tonia Blackwood, of Concord, North Carolina, is a Sales Recruiter with the Charlotte office of She has been a recruiting professional for over three years. Prior to a career in recruitment her experience spans over 20+ years in global marketing/communications, sales and entrepreneurship. She has a Bachelor's degree in Management Studies from the University of Maryland – UC in Adelphi, Maryland and an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Nassau Community College in Garden City, New York.  She served honorably in the United States Army Reserves for over ten years and is a proud recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow distinction from her days as a Rotarian.

Tonia's involvement with North Carolina Phi Beta Lambda started as a presenter for the 2016 Fall Leadership Development Conference. She subsequently contributed as a judge for three competitive events and co-presented a resume workshop at the 2017 State Leadership Conference, as well as co-presented a Professional Branding session during the 2017 Fall Leadership Development Conference.

Tonia is passionate about educating and empowering others to recognize the impact of their brand on their own career as well as the careers of those around them. She is excited about working to support NCPBL students, increasing member participation, and contributing to the overall growth of the NCPBL Professional Division - Foundation and its initiatives.
