Roberta McDonald
Term: 2016-18

Roberta (Robbie) McDonald, is retired from Duke Energy Corporation, in Charlotte, NC.  Ms. McDonald worked at Duke Energy for 34 years.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, with a minor in Clothing and Textiles, from Appalachian State University, Boone, NC.   

Ms. McDonald's involvement with Phi Beta Lambda started at Wingate (College) University where she was a member for two years.  Upon transferring to Appalachian State University, she continued her involvement with PBL.  She served as Chapter President.  She also held the office of State Historian.

After entering the work force, she joined the NCPBL Alumni Division which was chartered in 1977.  Ms. McDonald was part of the first group of the Alumni Association and worked with others to set the course for it becoming the third division of FBLA-PBL.  Later, the group was changed to the Professional Division.  Ms. McDonald held various offices from Secretary / Treasurer to President.  She also served on the State NCPBL Executive Board as the Professional Director, Financial Director, and Administrative Services Director.  On the National level, Ms. McDonald has served in the capacity of Vice President and Secretary /Treasurer of the National Professional Division. 

In 2002, Ms. McDonald was co-founder of the NCPBL Foundation, Inc. She has served in an advisory capacity as well as held the officer of Treasurer.  In 2010, the two groups merged to better serve the NCPBL State Chapter.
